Central MA FC joins into partnership with New England Revolution

Grafton area youth soccer club receives coaching, referee training and other benefits from the area's premier professional soccer team.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution, one of Major League Soccer's premier organizations, announced that Central MA Futbol Club (CMFC) has entered into a partnership with the team that will provide CMFC with a special coach and referee education night at Gillette Stadium, among other amenities.

Central MA FC, which has also committed to organizing twice-a-year town nights with the Revolution, will designate an individual who will work directly with the professional team to promote the town nights and educational programs.  Later in the season, a Revolution player will also make an appearance at a CMFC practice session in Grafton on behalf of Central MA FC.

"Our new Youth Soccer Partnerships are an important aspect to helping elevate the level of soccer in the region," Revolution General Manager Craig Tornberg said. "New England has always been known for some of the best youth soccer in the country, and we believe that providing professional coaching and referee instruction to our local town organizations can only further elevate our area's reputation nationally.  We're excited about entering into these partnerships around the region and look forward to seeing the positive results of these new relationships on the field."

Taskin Guven, the Director of Central MA Futbol Club, adds “This partnership is a perfect match for our club.  CMFC is committed to providing the best age and level appropriate training to players with the desire to reach the next step in their soccer development.  Partnering with the Revolution provides us access to resources that will help us further that commitment.”  Central MA FC was founded in the fall of 2007 and has been steadily gaining momentum.  The club’s teams currently participate in both the MAPLE and MASC leagues.
